Plaster subtractive sculpture
I am very pleased with this piece. It took me about 3 class period to complete. I started of as wanting to make a body figure, but that didn't turn out as planned. Then I decided that I wanted it to be a salt shaker. When I used a fork to make the holes, the fork then slid and caused a huge mess. And then there was ART!

Metal Tooling
This final turned out as I expected it to. I wished that I would have added more detail and painted it more. Overall, I am pleased with how this turned out in the end.

Metal Tooling sketch

This sketch was inspired by the tattoo that I would like to get with my mom someday. I would have liked to add more detail  but I couldn't come up with anything at the time.

BAS RELIEF

This didn't turn out as planned. I was going for more of an afro vibe, but instead her hair looks like dreads. Every part of her was inspired by something different. Her lips for example, they were inspired by the iconic BRATZ DOLLS during my childhood. I sort of like how she turned out.

Art Critique

Keith Haring

* This piece of art is called "Ignorance=fear". It was done by the artist Keith Haring. This piece has colors that stand out such as red and yellow. The three people in the art have their eyes, ears, and mouth covered.
* It seems as if, "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil." is mimicked in the art work. By him doing that seems as if he was trying to get a message across to everybody. The black lines that are around the figures, draws attention to the figure and they also help is try to interpret  the excitement of fear that they are feeling.
* In the art work it is pretty  obvious that he was trying to get a message across to the viewers. I think the message was to no stay quiet about your disease(Aids) and try to get help. I think he says that staying silent will cause bigger problems in the future; even death, so speak up.
* Keith Haring is one of my favorite artist because of the creativity and originality that is in his art. I have to say that this is not one of his best pieces, in my opinion. I have seen him produce better pieces. I chose this art to talk about because I like his message that he was trying to get across to the community for their benefit.

Vision Board
All of these things on my vision board are the things I plan to do this year. I plan to get my first car (I prefer a wrangler), to travel more than usual, get straight A's, and get a dog when I move.
